Anyone knows when exactly after Christmas sales start online?

Hi everyone!

I’m just wondering, does anyone know when major retailers (i.e Selfridges, Debenhams, John Lewis, etc) are going to start their after Christmas sales online? Or does anyone remember when exactly did they start last year? Because as far as my memory goes, when I went online last year, on 25th of Dec, most of the popular items were already sold out! makes me think some stores would start their online sales as early as Christmas Eve?

many thanks!
Sam, thanks! although I’ve forgot to mention i live in the UK 🙂 I have to say I’m really jealous of the bargains you guys can get in the US, our ‘sales’ are nothing like yours! therefore i am waiting for after Christmas sale, to put my hands on some expensive stuff as it will be selling for ~50%off RRP. It’s just that you have to be very quick, as some items will be gone within minutes after the sale starts lol

Certainly last year a lot of them had started the sales (both online and in store) before Christmas Day – and others started the online ones as soon as the shops closed on Christmas Eve. The only way to check is to keep an eye on the websites of the stores you are interested in – because they probably haven’t announced their plans yet. They don’t want to give their competitors too much warning of what they are going to do.
