are employers more likely to emplyo me if I have a national insurance number?

I’m 15 and 7 months, so my national insurance card should be coming soon. I’ve applied to a jobn at home bargains, so are they more likely to hire me if I have a national insurance number and a work permit?

You need a permit because you are under school leaving age – nothing to do with nationality! It’s for your employer to get the permit from the local authority. The permit must be signed by both the employer and one of your parents.

You’ll need an NI number but employers of young staff know it can take a while to arrive, so shouldn’t be an issue!

Yes, and if you are British, work permits do not apply.
