Book online or try to get a deal through a high street travel agents?

Book on line or High Street travel agent?
We couldn’t afford to book in advance so are going to look for a late deal to Menorca in August.
What is the best thing to do?

We’re just wondering if you can kinda bargain better with an agent face to face or if it doesn’t really make any difference.

Thanks

Agents are looking for commission even if they are waged, they will have an element of their pay as commission, some as high as 50%, other only 20%, depending on where you go. Online, you are likely to get a better deal, but it would take more looking and comparing than if an agent looked fo you.

So, for a better deal use the internet, for choice and easier comparison of deals, you might wat to choose to visit a high street agent, and an independent maybe better than just going to thomas cook, as all they will do is sell you their spare capacity and not offer you other companies deals.

Teletext.co.uk is a good site for last minute deals.
