Can I File A Case Against Someone Who Owes Me Money For A Room They Stayed In Booked Under My Name?

A friend of mine was put out of his house and he came to me for help. I put him in a room under my name so he could get a discount and he was an accompany in the reservation. I stayed in the room as well from time to time as well. He was the one who was paying for the room though. When the time came for him to pay for the room, he disappeared. I was wondering what my options were. I paid for the room but I kept the receipt. He charged all this food to the room and made the bill so high. What can I do?

If you can find him you can file a small claims case against him but even if you win the odds of ever seeing any money from it are slim to none. ONly 28% of all civil suits are collected. Unless they have property to file a lien against you just can’t collect unless they voluntarily pay you.

Small claims court. Good luck with that. Maybe Karma will bite him in his ***.
