Can I Still Use Hmv Vouchers In The Uk?

I know hmv are closing down but can I still use vouchers or get money back?

    They are not granting vouchers anymore.
    There has been interest from a buyer though, so if HMV is bought your vouchers may be redeemable then.
    I saw a news article about a man who ‘stole’ from HMV.
    He didnt really, he had a voucher but as they wouldnt accept his voucher as payment he just took the item.
    Dont reccomend it incase the workers in the store near you arent so lax about it.
    I think if a company goes down completely, there is a process you can go through to get your money back eventually, but unless there is a lot of money on the voucher, its not worth it Im afraid.

    No – they have closed, and the vouchers are worthless. If you want you can fill in a claim form as a creditor, and sent it to the accountants handling the closure. Then you are listed as a creditor and IF there is any money left you might get a little bit back – but other creditors come higher up the priority list, and you are unlikely to get more than a few pence in the pound at best.
