Connecting Speakers To Record Player With Inbuilt Speakers?

I have a pretty basic steepletone record player with inbuilt speakers, this one to be exact…
Although the sound isn’t bad, I would prefer if I could connect some speakers to it. I know there is a subwoofer jack and an RCA line out but I have no idea what speakers to use and exactly what I need to connect them. Any ideas?

the rca line is audio signal , its not amplified so you will need an amplifier first before the speakers or use active speakers that have this amplifier built in. The subwoofer jack will just give mono sound.

You are not going to be able to connect a speaker to this unit. You are going to need a receiver or a power amplifier to connect the line out from the record player to the receiver or power amplifier. Then connect the speakers to the receiver or power amplifier. A receiver would be the best choice if you are a budget minded person. This will also allow you to connect a powered subwoofer to the receiver. Look at an Onkyo HT-S3500 (US model), it is a 5.1 receiver and a set of speakers. Hope this will help you out.
