Did the Allies bargain with the Russians for the west half of Berlin due to the huge numbers who reatreated ?

why , since Berlin is in the eastern half of Germany.,,.would the allies have been able to bargain with the Russians that they wanted to rule half of Berlin?

was this due to the huge numbers who had retreated to the Allied side during the end of WWII? how and WHEN the people of Berlin returned to Berlin after hiding from Russians in west and for how long this was?

please explain what you can too HOW THE WESTERN BERLINERS WENT TO WEST GERMANY AFTER THE WAR TOO?

thanks for your answers!

Actually the Soviet Union wanted to divide Berlin into three sectors each to be administered by one of the Big Three – Soviets, Americans and British – the British and Americans argued that France should be afforded a sector too, the Soviets replied that if both were willing to give up a portion of their sectors then France could have one, but that the Soviets were not prepared to give up any of their sector.

Berlin was given special status above the rest of Germany simply because it had been the capital of Germany.

First off, Russia or the USSR was an ally of the West during WW2.
The Heads of each Country had met a `Yalta` before the war was over and divided up Germany with each of the main four having control of a sector of Berlin, those being Britain,USA,France and the USSR.
The three western nations amalgamated their sectors into one.
