Discounting The Ending, Would You Agree That Mass Effect 3 Is A Superior Game To Mass Effect 2?

Yeah its better. The only thing that sucks is the multiplayer is OK.

Personally no. I didn’t like how they only had cameos of dlc characters (kasumi & zaeed) also i didn’t care for the lack of squadmates. I wanted to bring Thane, jack, Jacob, and Miranda along for the ride. I also felt that the rachni queen had a lame part in the story. If you saved her in the first game she’s back, if you killed her in the first the collectors created one. It seemed like your choice didn’t matter as much. Also the new characters seemed half baked. I didn’t care for James, Diana, or Samantha and i absolutely hated the day 1 dlc for javik.

I love the combat system in ME3 as its so much more refined, but I agree that the whole feel of Mass Effect 2 was better with its multiple ‘hubs’ and unique environments.
However, you must remember that in ME3 the Reapers have invaded and so it is not possible to have the same diversity of gameplay on different planets – so Bioware’s hands were pretty much tied on that one.
I still have to say overall that ME2 is a better game because it has the best ending mission in a video game so far – the suicide mission – if you invest hours in the game it all comes down to the final 30 minutes – its intense.
