Do people restock their stuff in sales?

Like in the January sales, do they restock if a certain item is sold out?

If an item is "Sold Out" that means that they do not have any more of the item. They may or may not re-stock but as that would probably arrive after their sale ended the price would be the original one. Many reduced items in sales are either specially bought in for the sales or items that were slow sellers and they want to get rid of their stock.

Depends on the item, depends on the store, depends on the manufacturer. There is no standard answer to such a vague and general question.

They re-stock with sale items from the stock room. They will not buy in new stock to put in the sale.

If there is more than one branch of the same retail company holding a sale and an item is sold out in one branch they may, if requested, call other branches for items sold out in their own branch. They may agree to put items on hold for 24 hours but it is up to the customer to travel to get them.
