Do you have to use Tesco Clubcard vouchers? Or can you just build up the points?

I have just got a tesco club card and get “£1 off” vouchers in the post, if I don’t use these will the points just build up in my account and then i can use thom for somthing big in the future or do i have to use these vouchers otherwise I loose them? Also is there a way I can check how many points I have. Thanks.

Tesco send you the vouchers which are invalid after the date stamped on them.

You can go to the clubcard page and send off and exchange the vouchers for tokens, eg day out tokens which cost £5 in vouchers to give £20 in tokens which can be spent at various listed venues.

sorry it sounds a bit complicated

well the tokens also have a use by date, BUT as long as they are still valid you can send them back to Tesco and get them put back onto your clubcard account and start the whole thing over again.

so a voucher is the little blue things they send you every so often with a leaflet etc. and they are exchanged for a voucher which you can take or send to companies and venue to spend.

Once you get the paper vouchers the balance is reduced/zeroed until you spend again. So no points to check other than those shown at the end of your till receipt. Then when they are converted to vouchers, you are back to the start again.

The vouchers have a ‘valid until’ date – so don’t keep them forever!
