Does Anyone Have Any Original Ideas For Fundraising For A School Trip?

I am currently in Year 9 at school, studying Geography. Last lesson, our teacher presented the possible opportunities for a school trip to either Morocco, Ethiopia or Costa Rica, for GCSE Geography next year. As the trip sounds amazing, orovides me with the opportunity to help others in poverty and experience a different culture, I am extremely interested. However the price for the most favourable trip to Morocco is £1200, and as I have recently received a very expensive new iPhone 5, my parents are only willing to pay for part of the cost (though this has not been at all confirmed yet due to the uncertainty if the trip arrangements). Therefore, as my teacher suggested, we could take it upon ourselves to raise the money through fundraising. I have organised similar events in the past, but I don’t believe that your ordinary cake sale is going to provide enough profit. Also, as I am only 14 years old, I cannot get a proper job and have applied for a paper round in the past though I have heard no further news back. Therefore, I do not have a constant income to depend on. I appreciate your ideas, but I do ask for answers to be as realistic as possible and nothing rude please? Thank you:)

Organize a cool event of your own. Maybe the whole class can sell cool stuff like rare jewels or something. You can all do your own fundraisers as well, its a lot more work since you’ll be doing it on your own, but if somebody does car washes and another person does a bake sale, that’s twice as much as you’d make working together. Even if you do decide to work together, you can work independently to earn some extra money.
