eBay Vouchers? Who Covers The Loss?

Hi everyone!

I am selling a few things on eBay at the moment and noticed that eBay are sending out vouchers to some of its members (I am not sure if it is all of them) that offer discounts on various goods in different categories. The discount codes range from offering 10%-12% off, £4 off etc.

I want to know what happens if a winning bidder uses one of the vouchers on the things I am selling. Does eBay cover the discount or do I?

I am new to selling and it could potentially mean that I am giving my items away for nothing if, for example, a winning bidder uses a voucher on one of my £0.99 books that I have for sale. If this is the case then there really isn’t any point in me selling my things at all.

I really appreciate any advice or help you can offer.

Ebay covers the vouchers. They basically give the voucher holder a credit through paypal.
