Evicting A Nycha Section 8 Tenant?

I am a landlord in NYC and under contract to sell my building, however, I had to postpone my closing date in order to evict my Section 8 tenant. We obtained a Stipulation of Settlement from the court and the tenant has until July 31, 2013 to move out, however, it’s now a waiting game with the NYCHA Section 8 unit.
The tenant requested an emergency transfer voucher with NYCHA in early March after receiving a notice of termination letter and can’t even look for a new apartment until this transfer process is completed which will most likely be past the July 31, 2013 eviction date according to Section 8 (although NYCHA website states that emergencey transfer vouchers are usually issued within 3 to 6 weeks)
Is there anything I can do to expedite the process as me and my wife are elderly and living on a fixed income? We no longer have the income of our other tenant who has moved out because we’re selling the building and this is causing us great financial hardhip. The tenant will most likely ask for an Order to Stay if Section 8 doesn’t provide her with a transfer voucher before July 31, 2013.
