  1. Moosey says:

    Store A
    (60-51)/60 *100 > (84-73.50) /84 * 100

  2. Alberto says:

    Store A : Discount : 60 – 51 = 9
    Percent discount : 9 x 100 / 60 = 15 %
    Store B : Discount : 84 – 73.50 = 10.50
    Percent discount: 10.50 x 100 / 84 = 12.5 %
ANSWER: Store A is offering a larger percent discount

  3. Sd says:

    to compute for the discount
    ((PriceOld – PriceNew)/PriceOld) * 100
    Store A: (60-51)/60 * 100 = 15% discount
    Store B: (84-73.5)/84 * 100 = 12.5% discount
store A has larger percentage of discount

  4. Dragon Claw says:

    (A) 60 – 51 = 9
    (B) 84 – 73.50 = 10.50
    (A) 9/60 = 0.15 → 15%
    (B) 10.50/84 = 0.125 → 12.5%
    15% > 12.5%
so (A) has the larger discount.
