    First, there is no easy button for this one. I think one of the keys is to determine during the initial orientation period if an employee is going to be a positive addition or a not a valuable part of the team.
    Turnover is expensive. If you can pay 0.25 an hour more for entry level staff, you can access the best of the applicants. Look for people that are determined to further their education. CNA’s that are going to school to become LVN’s or RN’s are valuable. These employees are actively motivated to achieve.
    Their are extremely valuable employees that are happy at a different role. Caring and compassion are vital in every role in the clinical setting. There are plenty of books one organizational culture and management. Check out the links below.
