How do you deal with worrying about your children?

My children are 14 and 10, and I am constantly worrying about them and wondering if I have made the right decision about letting them do certain things like go out with their friends etc. Do you feel this way sometimes, and how do you deal with it?

Thanks xx

The day you stop worrying is the day you cease to be a parent.
I feel this way a lot, but I deal with it by giving myself a healthy dose of reality and reminding myself that the world is not as scary or dangerous as the media portrays it. I don’t let myself get hysterical or paranoid to the point where my kids can’t be kids because of a worry-wart, overbearing parent.

babe, it doesnt get any better! you just have to cut the apron strings. its hardest to do with your first born but not as bad by the time you get to your 3rd! the world is not half as bad as we are led to believe.

I try not to feel that way. You make decisions that you think are best for them and you cannot second guess yourself or you will drive yourself nuts. You have to let them live, experience things and keep them safe at the same time.
