you’re mistaken. we have state sales taxes, it is income taxes that we don’t have.

    Florida has state sales taxes… they just don’t have state income taxes.

    Florida does have sales tax, just no income tax.
    States that have no sales tax usually has state income tax, or higher property taxes, or even taxes the value of your car as part of your property tax.
    There are other states too, that get tax revenue from corporations. For example, while Texas has no state income tax on idividuals, it does have franchise taxes imposed on corporations based upon its revenues. In a sheep’s clothing, this “wolf” is disguised as a “franchise” tax, but is really corporate income tax by this other name.
    One way or another, all states are successful in taxing their residents.
