Soap:

Use only mild soap and detergents that contain non-alkaline, non-iconic and no biological enzymes. Bleach / enzymes fighting the tanning process which can damage the sheepskin. We recommend Pure Castile or biodegradable camp soaps like Kookaburra wool wash. DO NOT use Woolite or detergents such as Tide

Drying :.

Line dry or dry flat and stretch to shape while it is still damp. For even better results, you can brush the sheepskin with a wire brush to help fluff the fibers. Whatever you do, do not tumble dry your sheepskin rugs in the dryer. Even the softest setting can cause you to shrink your sheepskin rug or cause hardening of the skin.

Once dry, leaving your sheepskin rug a vigorous shake will help restore the soft fluffy appearance of the wool.

If you plan on storing your carpet after cleaning, make sure it is completely dry. Then, choose a cool, airy location out of direct sunlight, such as a large closet. We do not recommend the storage of sheepskin products in plastic bags for a longer period of time. The plastic will not allow the fibers to breathe properly; Therefore, condensation may occur in hot conditions, which cause damage to the pelt sheepskin over time.
