I Tried To Buy Something On Amazon.co.uk But It Did Not Ask For My Card’s Security Code?when Will I Pay?

I’m trying to buy a printer and a book. So I picked them and checked out, I entered my card details but the website did not ask for security code behind the card. I live in student residences which means all boxes are left to residence reception. I wont be able to receive deliveries in person. At what point to I pay/enter password etc.???

Amazon doesn’t ask for the security code. Not sure why, but I guess it’s quite common if you’re a first time buyer. It must have figured out that if you got the 16 numbers and expiration date right, you must have the card in your hand so asking for the security code would be kind of pointless.
Even if you’re a returning customer, it doesn’t ask for the code either (or at least I don’t remember having to enter the code).
You’ll be charged around the time amazon begins to pack your printer.
