I’m Considering Japanese For Gcse, What Do I Need To Know For The Exam And What Are Good Learning Products?

I’m considering taking Japanese as one of my GCSE options. I already have high grades in French and Spanish. I will only be doing Core Science and Foundation Maths so I would have a lot of study time for languages.
My question is what will I need to know for the exam? How much of each section (reading, writing, speaking and listening) will I need to know?
Currently I have Teach Yourself: Get Started With Japanese, Helen Gilhooly (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Get-Started-Japa… which is a good product. However if you have any better suggestions for products that can help me with my studies, let me know!
Thanks!
