Is a Dongle (internet USB) top up voucher the same as a phone credit voucher?

So is there any difference in a dongle voucher and a phone voucher?

If not, can i go into tesco and ask for a £() phone top up voucher and use it on my dongle?

You don’t say which network your dongle is with as they all differ slightly.

For example and O2 dongle cannot be topped up with an e-topup or voucher – you can only top it up by using a debit/credit card on the O2 website.

For Vodafone you can buy a topup voucher in a supermarket, and to put it on the dongle you need to enter the voucher number into the Vodafone software that will install from the dongle. You can also use a debit/credit card online.

For T-Mobile and 3 you can buy vouchers but to add them to the dongle you need to go through the website, or put the dongle SIM in a phone so you can dial the topup line. You can also use a debit/credit card online.
