Is it possible to use a provisional drivers license to get student discount?

Or do i have to pay the £10 extra for a NUS card? I just want to be able to get the discount in clothes shops like topshop or republic..

Thankss 🙂

  1. The Explorer says:

I don’t believe you can, because a provisional driving license only proves your age. It proves you’re of an age where you could be a student, but it’s not proof that you are a student.

However, why not try it and see? Take your license, enough money to buy what you want full price and enquire as to whether you can get a discount – after all, the worst thing they can do is say no.
