Is The Nvidia Gtx 660ti Compatible With My Motherboard?

My mother board is the Asrock 4core 1600-GLAN (http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/4Core1600-GLAN/) and I’d like to know if it’s compatible with this GPU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-GTX660-TI-DC2OG-2GD5-Borderlands-PCI-Express/dp/B008X36NHA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1354375684&sr=8-2
If not, please respond with alternatives around the same price and quality.
(I currently have the Nvidia 9500 GT 2gb)

  1. GriMgriM says:

As long as it has PCI 16 slot, it is compatible.

I’d be more worried about your PSU than your motherboard. The 660 Ti will pull a lot more power than a 9500 GT.
That said, you have a PCI-Express 16 slot, so as long as it’ll fit in your case, it’ll be fine.
But that’ll be a very high-end card for a potentially relatively low-end machine. You might find yourself benefitting more from a MB/CPU upgrade and a lesser GPU.
Check your CPU and your PSU as well.
