Please Give Me Your Opinion On Love! Advice Needed.?

I used to be friends with this girl in highschool, we went our seperate ways and recently our paths have crossed agian.
We have been dating for a very short time, only 4 months about. About one month ago, I realized I love this girl. (Or so the chemicals in my brain are making me think I do haha). I love everything about her, we share an amazing intellectual connection, shes everything I want in a girl.
Here’s the deal..I actually do love this girl. However, she doesn’t feel the same way I do. I can just tell her feelings have not grown as fast as mine. However I don’t discount that it is on that track(getting closer everyday).
MY QUESTION. Do YOU think that because our feelings did not grow in a mutually intense manner, that we are just not right for eachother?
Maybe I have an unrealistic expectation of this fantacy relationship.
Or maybe i’m right, maybe that right person would have been an explosion of love and romance, instead of this typical fashon.
Or maybe we are just a bunch of animals, and there is no “soulmate” or right person! Maybe love is a trick played by our brain chemicals to keep us reproducing.
Give me all your input, make it long!

If you really believe that you love this girl, then keep on dating and being with her, even if she doesn’t love you back. Make her like you even more by sending her cute texts, buy her flowers, write songs about her, etc. These sweet signs may be corny, but I promise that they will bring a smile to her face. These small signs of affection will lead her to the conclusion that she may have really strong feelings for you too. And even if she doesn’t love you now, you will have to give her some time to really think about her feelings because it has only been 4 months. But best of luck to you. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

4 months is not a very long time to get to know someone intimately enough to be able to declare with certainty that you love them. It’s great that your feelings for this girl have exploded as you’ve said, but just because her feelings haven’t followed the same growth pattern as yours, does not mean that she will never get to the same level of intense feelings as you have now.
It also depends on your past relationships; maybe she just got out of a bad relationship, and she wants to take things slow and give the relationship time to see if you’re really meant for her. Perhaps she doesn’t know everything she wants in a man just yet, and she still has to discover the ideal characteristics for a man she wants to spend her life with.
If you want my real opinion on love, it’s this: love is a profound bond that is a product of two people working hard to maintain a relationship over a long period of time. It requires physical, emotional, and mental attraction. It requires making compromises and doing everything you can to help the other person grow both as an individual and as a partner. I do believe soul mates exist, but the problem in today’s society is that people are misled to believe that love is “easy” and that if it’s the “right person”, everything just falls into place without any work. People never get the chance to see if someone else is their soul mate because they don’t believe they have to make an effort in the relationship. It’s the opposite; when someone is your soul mate, you work harder than you ever would to support the person and the relationship, but you don’t see it as work; you’re happy to do it.
Bottom line: give your girlfriend time to discover herself and you as aspects of this relationship, and give her time to evaluate the effort you make and the effort she makes to maintain the relationship.

You seem very sweet. I think you are getting ahead of yourself and fantazising a little bit too much.
She probably loves you too and just as much, but has different ways to show it.
You’ve only been together for 4 months so give yourself some time 🙂
