Republican Oklahoma Judge Supports State Cutting Food Voucher And Counseling For Poor Mothers?

The Planned Parenthood did not provide any sort of abortion services in Oklahoma. A federal judge on Monday rejected Planned Parenthood’s bid to stop Oklahoma from ending its contract with the women’s health organization to provide food vouchers and counseling to poor mothers in the Tulsa area.
U.S. District Judge Stephen Friot of the Western District of Oklahoma ruled that Planned Parenthood failed to prove its contract with the state’s department of health was terminated for political reasons related to the group’s support of abortion rights. The state contract ends on January 1.
Taking food from the hungry is unusual and cruel punishment, do you think this will be overturned on appeal.

Nobody made them have kids they can’t afford.

  2. You didn't build that says:

Good. Why should the state be required to contract with anyone?

  3. team says:

True. Why is it only the govt that must think about poor children? Why don’t these poor people think about how their children, that they can’t AFFORD, will have to live? Or is it that they just plan on the govt supporting any number of kids that they have?

And yet they still vote Republican in ever single election.
They are getting what they voted for I guess.

  6. Summerti says:

Did you hear it and read it, from the horses mouth, Nobody made them have kids” Now these are the people in your charge, That are against abortion, And then turn right around and make this claim on the internet to debunk the Republican way.

Those hungry women shouldn’t have got knocked up by deadbeats and produced more deadbeats. I have no sympathy anymore for the losers that want to suck up my money while I work hard and pay for all my own needs.

  8. Lou C. Ferr says:

People need to be held accountable and responsible for themselves. It’s not taking food away, but providing an incentive for them to get jobs.
These moochers of society are no better than cockroaches. You take away the food and they go elsewhere.
Just because they were stupid enough to get pregnant is no reason why I should pay for their abortions or support brats. I supported my own, they can too.

  9. Alicia Murphy says:

Being poor dose not mean a person is not intelligent, it just means there poor. It dose not take a rocket scientist to figure out who is fooling who.

  10. football chick says:

You can get birth control for free at the health department or for as little as $4 a month with a prescription. People shouldn’t have kids they can’t afford. However, I don’t think the child should be punished for their parents’ stupidity.

  11. Me Ne Frego says:

Funny how you list him as a republican when elected judicial officials are not designated by party and never are appointed judges.
But , whatever, so something didn’t go your way. Welcome to a pluralistic society. Like it?

I read the other answers and I guess that this country has been taken over by selfish, egotistical people
Don’t blame the children..ok blame the parents, but I will never allow a child to go hungry
People make mistakes but you’re taking it out on the children
    It is happy
I am ashamed of the people who answered this should be ashamed of yourselves
I try to donate as much as I can
I’m waiting for Christmas dinner and when I read this question, it broke my heart..Merry Christmas
