Should I work as a deputy store manager of lidl?

I have been offered a job for lidl…

I have read all the horror stories about the company, however I am willing to do the hard work and long hours at this stage in my life, as long as there is reward later!

I thought that if I did this job for at least a year and a half, that if it looks like I will not have much prospect for progression within the company, I could apply for positions within other food retailers; Asda Tesco, Sainsburys, marks and spencer, Waitrose etc….

What I want form a career is the prospect of a good salary and promotion, plus job security…

Any advice and help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!
Thanks daveywavey! I have another offer for a field sales engineer role also….so I do have an alternative, trying to weigh up which one to go for!

Sounds like a good idea. Go for it. Even a job you don’t like is better than no job at all. Go earn yourself some money. At the very least, it’ll be good work experience on your CV, and that’s what matters. The fact that it’s management experience means even more. You should definitely go for it.
