Travel insurance – to get or not to get

?

Personally, I always travel with personal insurance. Things happen. This is the money that I pay injustement and never to use it. It is not a value-for-money order for more prevention-is-better-than-care policy.

I’m not a financial guru, target Considered am viable financially savvy Under my peers. I have insurance for life, health and liability. Especially since unpredictable things can happen while traveling, you never know when you need it.

On top of the usual student insurance in New Zealand, I bought an extra travel insurance DURING 3 summers I was traveling, as well as two South Island for my vacation and holidays Australia 1. Fortunately, I never use the insurance on all my 3 Pendant holidays.

During my last semester, our little town had a stomach virus epidemic. Luckily I was okay until during the semester exams. However, my good friend caught him at the beginning of the holiday and I drove her to the hospital. I nosocomial infections must have gotten there.

The bug attacked Within a week this summer and my roommate drove me to A & E at night when No. There were 24-hour clinics around. To make a long story short, the bill cam to $ 400 NZD + qui I managed to successfully claim with my insurance. Can not really remember, the policy probably costs about NZD $ 160 for 10 weeks.

During my 2nd and 3rd summer in New Zealand, I was looking after my friends, “because when they returned home for a holiday. Their cars manufactured before 2000, because the insurance was expensive. That’s why I AA membership PLACE.

think it’s a sign that I shoulds not drive, I have 7 because of accidents over a period of 10 weeks. From that, I was in the car 3 times – drove into the middle of the roundabout Pendant heavy rain, knocked on the curb and punctured a tire, and kissed the butt of a van Because I brake accidentally

[1999 .002 to release. ] Fortunately AA membership NZD $ 100 ++, I quoted tow truck twice and got someone to change tires cam for me for free. Heard the tow truck service is very expensive in NZ. Mechanics are too expensive, about $ 60 NZD per hour.

Since I do not-have car insurance, I paid my friend NZD $ 3,000 for all the dents and bumps on his Toyota Trueno. As the Chinese say, “Lose money just to avoid misfortune,” I am thankful that I am healthy, intact and fine today.

In my recent holiday to Phuket, Thailand, I was down with food poisoning during the trip. When I came back, I immediately went to the doctor to see Changi Airport at 2:30. The bill to SGD $ 120 + CAM. Managed to claim aussitôt my Chartis Travel Guard insurance under Jetstar qui costs SGD $ 30 +.

Currently the longest insurance coverage by DBS / POSB for one year at SGD382.50 worldwide. Think it is a sign of keeping it to a one-year timeline per ride. Who knows, maybe there are 3 year insurance policies in the near future!
