What Did You Make Of The Deadline Given For The End Of The Age In December 2012 By The Mayans?

I like thousands of others watched the on line predictions about the end of the world in December 2012 and read the book The Mayan Prophecies by Adrian Gilbert. It became clear to me that the date given would not herald an end of the world but rather as the Mayans predicted the end of one age and the beginning of another..
When nothing happened everyone discounted the Mayan prophecies while I laid hold of their “beginning of a new age prediction” and I believe that a new age did begin in December last year but the changes that will take place began then and we must await the massive signs of the times to come, changing weather patterns that could change the world in which we live.
What do other people think about this?

I got nothing special out of it. A ‘new age’ may come for me when one of my patents pending is granted, but we’ll see. A lot of books try to talk me out of hopes, insisting that only 2% of patent holders ever get much money from it.

I thought it was Funny. The Mayans couldn’t predict Their OWN Demise. -Yet we’re going to Believe that They had the Ability to predict OURs ??! 😮 Makes you Wonder; WHO was more Ignorant ?!! 😉

I just thought it was just another measure of time.
Like we 60 seconds in a minute 60 minutes in an hour 24 hours in a day. 7 days in the week which repeat. Then 12 months that repeat. Then we have decades centuries and millennium,
I just figured the way they had set up the calendar along similar lines . But it was based on some sort astrological timing something that just ticked over and reset.. Just like sunday ticking over to monday after 7 days.. resetting the week.. the long count is to me equivalent our millennium or 1000 years.
I did not think for one second that earth was doomed..

I wasn’t affected by it. Anyone who does any research into the whole thing will soon realise that it was the media blowing things out of proportion yet again because it sells papers. Just like the furore they kicked up when the L.H.C. was switched on.
