What formula do i use to calculate discounts in excel?

e.g. I have two tables/sheets. I have to find out who gets the discount and who doesnt.
The first sheet contains customers details and the second the discount prices for adults, Youth etc.

What formula do i use to calculate the discounts using the information on the first page (Age, Type (OAP/Disabled)?

    Experienced Windows environment teacher and user for over 26 years.
    Recently converted to an iMac – well two years and a half now and how has it flown!

    =VLOOKUP(A1,A2:C50,2,FALSE) where, while entering the formula you click on the cells used on the relevant sheets before finally pressing the enter key.
    This will typically look like:
    =VLOOKUP(Sheet1!A1,Sheet1!A2:C50,2,FALSE)
