What is the difference between my £100 acoustic guitar and the £1600 one i'm about to buy?

    price alone is never an indicator. Hopefully you are getting something for the extra money, but there’s no guarantee. Each guitar is an individual instrument. Some play well others don’t and price never guarantees one or the other.

    Esp in the case of Martin, you may be getting more name than value. For that kind of money you can get a vintage Martin that plays and sounds fabulous… IF you are willing to spend the time and effort to find one in person by going to guitar shops and investigating "for sale" ads.

    Never buy a guitar that you have never played. Go on a road trip to your local guitar shops. I am sure they have plenty of new and used instruments to choose from.
