What Is Wrong With People Who Equate Popularity And Sales With Quality?

If that’s the case, To The Extreme must be a better album than Illmatic and The Chronic because it sold more.

  1. Steve says:

Popularity and sales make more profits. Usually those popular and good sales are pretty good quality album but i agree it is not always the case.

People just say that to justify liking the artists they like. If someone says, “Nicki Minaj stole Lil Kim’s entire persona,” the rebuttal is, “Well Nicki sold more albums, haha.” But that has nothing to do with it. The public is stupid. They will buy whatever the media pushes the hardest, bottom line.
Sometimes it’s true though. Jay-Z and Tupac are really popular, sold lots of albums and are both really good.
