To get the educational discount you either have to be an employee of a K-12 school in the US, or be on faculty or staff, or be accepted into or attending a Higher Education institution.

So seeing as how you are still in high school, you probably don’t qualify for the discount… but if you have already been accepted into a university you can just bring in "proof" (acceptance letter) and they can give you the discount.

You must be a post-secondary student at a recognized College or University. High School Students don’t get discount. You can also be a teacher at College, University or High School, but you don’t fall under that either so guess you are going to have to wait a year or pay full price.

I would have thought you would be eligible for any student discount as long as you have an NUS card, one of which I got when I was in Year 12 so look into applying for one of those. Otherwise, I suppose it’s just Apple being their typical greedy selves.
