What’s A Laptop Equivalent To Lenovo Ideapad But Runs On Windows 7 Instead?

This is the laptop: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Y…
What’s a laptop(s) with the same capabilities, runs on windows 7, and is of the same price or less?

The world already knows about the issues in Windows 8. It has some nice enough “apps” and starts up faster, but Windows update sometimes has issues, the full screen mode can be annoying, old games like Minecraft and League of Legends need graphics driver updates and some fixes in the settings about compatibility, there is no start button, and it is missing Windows Media Player.
Some of that is fixable. Microsoft will be releasing an update to fix some very soon.
You can get back the start menu and look and feel of Windows 7 and even skip the start page of Windows 8:http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-…
I really suggest you go for the newer laptops with Windows 8 and fix what you need to. There is Realplayer and VLC player to replace Windows Media Player.
There are a few good laptops for gaming at around $800, and I do suggest at your price you get the 1080p screen as a very important feature.
For students and school faculty, there are discounts into Lenovo.comhttp://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/portals/stu…http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/contr…
It cuts the prices by a little – say $30 to $60 typically.
The Y500 is replacing the Y580. The GT 750M is at least as good as GTX 660Mhttp://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Ga…
To go higher in price, the new Y510p has an anti-reflective screen and the new Intel Haswell CPUs with the better graphics when on battery.
I generally don’t trust refurbs because you lose the warranty in many cases and can’t even buy a warranty on a refurb. That one you found is under warranty and is 1080p so it is actually OK.
To get Windows 7 is a higher price and different specs:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
    or item number N82E16834152393
    CPU benchmarking:http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
Maybe a used Y580 with Windows 7, but verify all the specs including the 1080phttp://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-IdeaPad-209…
17″ used Asus with a little lower GT 560M?http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-G74SX-BBK9-Qu…
    or 650Mhttp://www.amazon.com/ASUS-N56VZ-DS71-15…http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-G53SX-XA1-15-…
I would be aiming at a Y500 or get what you found because it is a good deal. It is hard to find a 1080P new laptop around $800. Fix Windows 8 yourself or wait for Microsoft to do it.
