What's the best way to get discount on rail season tickets?

I frequently need to travel from Fratton, FTN to Fareham, FRM to get to college.

I have a 16-25 rail card but this can’t be redeemed for my journey because of the times I need to use it. A season ticket is cheaper but alarmingly expensive at first glance. Is there not some discount I can get as a student?

Basically, no. There is nothing available for students from the train operators, other than the 16-25 railcard (which I appreciate only works off peak). Try Hampshire County Council to see if they can help, that’s the only avenue open to you.

If your railcard doesn’t apply to the ticket you need to get then soz, you just have to get the season if it really is cheaper. Travel is ludicrously pricey these days however you do it :/
