What's the difference in how the immune system deals with the TB bacteria?

I was told two things about how the immune system deals with it..
1) The bacteria gets eaten by white blood cells (intentionally) just so it can multiply from within and explode, infecting other areas of the body

2) The immune system releases antibodies to mark the TB bacteria and gets destroyed by white blood cells when passing through a certain area of the body

Are the TB bacteria the same in these cases? Or is there a weaker TB bacteria than the other?

Thanks
