Will Windows 7 Detect My Drive If I Use A Ide To Sata Device?

Okay so I would like to use my old Ultra ATA hard drive as a boot disk. However I do not have an IDE socket on my motherboard so I am going to use this.

Okay so my question:
1: If I use this device, Will I be able to boot from this drive?
2: I would like to install Windows 7, Will Win7 detect this drive?
Many thanks 🙂
