Would This Be Okay To Use On My Hair?

I have been dying my hair for 9 years since I was 11. My natural hair colour is dark brown. I just dyed my hair purple which came out horrible (nothing like the colour it should be) and I’ve tried to dye my hair the same colour 3 times in the space of a month.
I found this colour remover http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008VDRQ4G/ref=aw_2nd_sims_1?pi=SY115
My current colour is blackish with red hints. Would it remove the colour and turn it to my natural hair colour or at least a decent colour?

Colour removers are unreliable at best. If the dyes you have previously used have had any lightening chemicals in them you may find the results are a bit patchy, the tone may be dull and possibly greyish. The colour remover strips the dye from the cuticles of your hair. If your hair is damaged and porous the result is likely to be uneven but this can be dealt with by using a semi-permanent toner that is the same shade as your natural colour. If you keep this topped up (it depends on your hair but once a month should do it) you should be able to grow out your hair with little further damage and a less obvious regrowth line.
If your previous colours have had no lightening agents you might find the results are subtle (the darker the colour the harder it is to remove) but don’t be tempted to use the remover again straight away. The damage will be great, you don’t want to find your hair breaking off.
Given how much you have coloured it I suggest you use a decent repairing mask once a week to get the condition up. If you can afford it Phillip Kingsley’s Elasticizer is an excellent once a month treatment.
